It’s been a busy week after a successful and very enjoyable day at the Asthma UK House & Garden Fair last week, and then the Spring Art Exhibition at Fowlmere School last weekend. I made sales at both events, and a positive response to my new collection of artworks.
Now the focus is on the forthcoming Cambridge Open Studios and the Artists’ Marquee at Burwash Manor in July. New painting projects are underway in my studio – it’s great to get stuck into new work again. I have volunteered as an area distributor for the Cambridge Open Studios guides which come out from Sunday 27th May, so look out for the familiar yellow guides.
It’s less than one week to go to the Asthma UK House & Garden Fair. Click here for a pdf copy of the Asthma Fair brochure. Our committee met up for our last meeting yesterday before the Fair next week. It’s all coming together so everything should be ready for the big day on Tuesday 15th May, and this year I am showing my own work so looking forward to it all!
I’ve been getting my artwork ready and working out how my exhibition stand is going to look. I have been framing the artworks, finishing off a new selection of Handmade Originals cards, and packaging up the greeting cards with colourful ribbons. I have my trusty notebook with lots of “To Do” lists – it seems to be lists and more lists at the moment, so hope I haven’t forgotten anything!
Closely following the Asthma Fair will be the Spring Art Exhibition at Fowlmere School in the village of Fowlmere from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th May. There is a Preview on the Friday evening from 7.30 to 10pm. Then, the exhibition continues on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th May from 10am to 4.30pm. It’s going to be a busy week! In the meantime, I look forward to seeing you at these events.
It’s just 2 weeks to go to the Asthma UK House & Garden Fair. I’ve been distributing brochures and putting up posters as part of advertising and promoting the event. Click here for a pdf copy of the Asthma Fair brochure. Our committee will be meeting one last time next week to make sure everything is ready for the big day on Tuesday 15th May.
I’ve been getting my artwork ready and working out how my exhibition stand is going to look. Frames, postcards and greeting cards have all been ordered and delivered. My new collection of artworks that I will be showing at the Fair have been photographed, but there is still plenty to do. Busy times!
