A big thank you to all of you who have supported me this year as customers and visitors to my exhibitions through 2011. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!
The 10th Anniversary & Christmas Exhibition is still on until Saturday 24th December at The Darryl Nantais Gallery in Linton, Cambridge. I have a selection of artworks on show there. It’s a mixed exhibition of paintings, prints, ceramics, glassware and Christmas decorations. A great place for gifts especially at this time of year! If you get a chance pop in!
I will be stewarding at Williams Art gallery this Saturday 17th 2 – 5pm. I am exhibiting in the Small Wonders exhibition, and as a CAM member I spend time helping to run the gallery. As an artists’ collective this is our community and place to meet fellow artists and of course our public, so it would be great to see you if you can pop in to view this lovely mixed exhibition. I have some small affordable artworks on show as well as Handmade Originals greeting cards. Look forward to seeing you there…
Have just seen Vermeer’s Women – Secrets & Silence at the Fitz. It’s a fascinating exhibition of 17th Century Dutch “Domestic Bliss”. Some of the paintings are really quite small but display exquisite detail and composition. The star painting for me is Vermeer’s The Lacemaker (c.1669-70) – one of the Musée du Louvre’s most famous works – on loan to Cambridge UK for the first time. Really enjoyed studying these paintings – lots to learn about the Dutch ‘Golden Age’.
I am exhibiting as part of a group show – “Kaleidoscope” at The Geldart in Ainsworth Street, Cambridge. Please come and enjoy the talent of the upcoming local artists in Cambridge throughout December.
