The Charity Art Auction held at Haddenham Galleries went incredibly well last night – I contributed by donating a framed print to the auction. I’ve just heard that the event last night was a great success, and fundraisers Alice and Tom estimate they have made around £2500 for the charities they are supporting – a fantastic result!
Alice and Tom can now focus on their departure, which is just 5 days away. You can follow their progress along the way and for more information about their venture by visiting www.iambulance.org
My artwork is now being exhibited at Williams Art, Gwydir Street off Mill Road in Cambridge, as part of Cambridge Open Studios. I share the gallery space with fellow CAM (Cambridge Arts Movement) artists Deanna Tyson, Sue Law and David Wood. Do go along and take a look in the gallery this weekend.
I’ve just completed my two weekends exhibiting in The Artists’ Marquee at Burwash Manor. I’m really delighted with how the exhibition has gone. The marquee has proved to be a great venue especially as we have had some superb weather over the last two weekends. We’ve had a steady flow of visitors and I have met lots of really interesting people. I’ve been making sales of my paintings and handmade cards which has been great, but also I have added lots of new contacts to my mailing list for future exhibitions. As a group of exhibiting artists we’ve all got on really well together which makes the whole experience very rewarding. I hope the exhibition at Burwash Manor continues to go well for the next two weekends.

Last Friday 1st July it was the Preview evening to launch The Artists’ Marquee at Burwash Manor www.burwashmanor.com. What a perfect setting with the evening sunshine, and a great atmosphere with the Jazz band playing on the lawn by our marquee. Lots of friends and visitors came to join us for a glass of Pimms and to preview the art. I made some sales of paintings and also sold several Hand made Originals greetings cards. The first weekend was steady with a good flow of visitors and more sales! So with the first weekend down it all seems to be going really well. I’m there again this Saturday & Sunday 10am – 5pm. I will then move my work to Williams Art www.williamsart.co.uk to be exhibited in the gallery from Tuesday 12th to Sunday 17th July as part of Cambridge Open Studios.
